#HikingInnerBasin
We may not really experience Fall here in the desert, but just a couple hours North in Flagstaff, the leaves change, the temperatures drop and it even smells like Fall!

Last Fall, Mommy heard about this beautiful area called the Inner Basin. Unfortunately, she heard about it too late, after all the trees had dropped their leaves. She’s been waiting an entire year for this adventure…and it did not disappoint!
The Inner Basin is full of Aspen trees…for as far as the eye could see…beautiful yellow leaves!
When big gusts of wind would blow through the groves, it would rain leaves all around us.
It was a pretty busy trail, which meant we stopped traffic more than once to strike our poses. You know Mom was never going to let a photo op pass her by, just because there were a few onlookers!
Mom seems to think there’s something funny about our backsides!?!
Dirt? What dirt? You forgot to do a before photo…you have no proof that we aren’t this color all the time!
We got tired of Mom’s looking at the camera poses…we went for something a little more artistic here. Just pondering the meaning of life!
Tell us again…why are you making us pose in a pile of leaves? All we really want to do is run and jump…and chase the blowing leaves!
See all those spots of yellow off in the distance? That’s where we were! Six miles of hiking…these little legs are pooped!
