#RockNRollMarathon2018
Who knew hosting out of town company could be so much fun, and so exhausting! We’re currently in recovery mode after a fully packed few days spent with our family.
They came into town to run in the Arizona Rock N Roll Half Marathon. Of course, the best cheering squad ever had to get up nice and early to cheer them on!
We love giving everyone a boost in energy and making them smile!
And, of course, we’re more than happy to pose for photos!
When you have time to kill, waiting for your family to cross the finish line, Mom thinks it’s fun to go to Lowes and take photos.
We’re not sure we agree!
They did it! They crossed the finish line. While they may still be upright, you should have seen them getting up after we took this photo. LOL!
We took our Aunt & Uncle hiking. They seemed a bit concerned that we might blow away on the top of the mountain.
What’s the hold up? We have shorter legs than you guys. How come it takes you so much longer to get up the mountain?
Thanks for the lift, Uncle Sam! Nothing better than smelling the smells of nature first thing in the morning!
It’s not all about athletics, we made sure to feed our intellectual side as well. We toured the Celebration of Fine Art in Scottsdale.
And, a few behind the scenes photos courtesy of our Aunt Lori.
Jax is a true art connoisseur!
We are Art! #findthepuppies
I may not be able to see the art, but I could smell all the smells! Different types of paint, photography, wood, sculpture, fabric, glass, metal…so many unique smells!
Seems like an appropriate time for a snack break, Mom. Got anything to share?
After the art show, we spent some time exploring around Downtown Scottsdale. They had these bikes all over that you could rent and ride. Too bad the baskets weren’t more puppy friendly…it would have been a much faster way to get around.
We found more art! Reflection Rising at the Scottsdale Waterfront.
Look! We made our own reflection art!
And, we finished up the day with dinner at The Herb Box. Hey, Mom, there are so many yummy sounding items on the menu, can I get one of each?
What are you talking about? I’m totally old enough to have a drink…of water!
Did someone say chicken? I’m awake, I’m awake!
When you’re headed back to zero degree temperatures, one last hike in the warm desert sun is a must! Way to make it to the top of the East Wing Mountain, Aunt Lori!
An entire weekend of adventure and entertaining didn’t slow down Jax one bit!
They may not have as much excess energy as Jax, but strong and steady they are!
Benji is always grateful to be along for the ride. Even if it does mean getting up way earlier than he’s used to!
It’s always a bummer when your company has to leave, but I found a fool proof way to make sure my Aunt can’t leave…I’m sitting on her!
