Of course, we had to get in one last adventure before this long weekend comes to an end. We piled in the car and drove across town to Saguaro Lake.

See that big cactus next to us, it’s a saguaro...guess that’s how they named the lake!

If you’ve ever wondered how Joey & Benji go hiking, this is how. Joey rides with his Daddy (so he can keep an eye on Mom!), and Benji rides with Mom. The backpacks are from Outward Hound and are made just for pups. They’re easy to load in and easy to load out when we need to make a photo shoot pit stop. They both love being along for the ride! It’s the perfect solution when you have one 15 year old pup and one blind & deaf pup. 

You can address us as Queen and King of the Mountain. Oh, wait, it’s not really a mountain…more like a cliff next to the lake. Okay, then we’re Lady and Lord of the Lake. Just know that wherever we are, we’re royalty!

We attract quite a bit of attention when we’re out hiking. Usually, the people we come upon see Bruiser & Pebbles hiking along with us. They’ll ooh and aah over the little fluffy dogs hiking…especially if they’re wearing their boots, and then everyone will walk on. It’s only after they pass us that they notice this cute face staring back at them, followed by noticing Joey in his backpack. Which brings on lots more oohs and aahs, and also some you guys are crazy faces! We agree…and we wouldn’t have it any other way! 

Anyone else feel like we’re entering a Brothers Grimm fairy tale?? Kind of creepy, Mom! Are you sure this is the right way?
